This animated core values video for Cardtronics, then the world’s largest ATM operator, opens with scale: from 35,000 ATMs to over 110,000 worldwide, a billion transactions a year. Then it pivots to the point: what makes the company great isn’t the numbers, it’s the four values behind them, each animated with its own color, style, and story.

About This Corporate Values Animation

The Challenge: Core values live or die by delivery. On a poster, “Trusted, Focused on Results, Ambitious, One Team” reads as wallpaper. Cardtronics needed employees across the US, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Poland, and the Caribbean to actually feel what those words meant.

The Solution: A 2D vector animation that gives each value its own visual identity, color-coded scenes where icons, text, and even the characters’ clothing carry the value’s palette. “Focused on Results” becomes a cargo plane air-dropping ATMs by parachute. “One Team” becomes a roll call of offices and departments across seven countries.

The Result: An 87-second culture asset that works in onboarding, all-hands meetings, and internal comms, turning a values statement into something employees remember scene by scene.

Key Features That Make This Core Values Animation Work

  • Scale before soul: opening on hard growth numbers earns the right to talk about values, the classic culture-video mistake is skipping straight to sentiment.
  • Color-coded values: each value owns a palette across icons, text, and wardrobe, giving the four concepts distinct, memorable identities.
  • Playful literalism: ATMs parachuting from a cargo plane makes “results” fun without undercutting the corporate message.
  • Global inclusion by name: listing every country and department in the “One Team” finale lets each office find itself in the story.

Why Animation Works for Corporate Culture Videos

Live-action culture videos age badly: offices change, people leave, and a talking-head CEO reads differently in every region.

Animation sidesteps all of it. A 2D animated values video speaks with one voice to every office in every country, stays evergreen as the company grows, and can dramatize abstractions like ambition and trust in ways a camera can’t.

Nearly a decade later, this piece still models the formula: earn attention with the company’s real story, then make each value impossible to confuse with the next.
